Most colleges set a minimum attendance to be eligible for exams, so it helps to know exactly where you stand. This tool works out your attendance percentage from the number of classes you attended and the total held.
The formula
Attendance is the share of held classes you were present for:
Attendance % = Attended ÷ Total × 100
For example, if you attended 42 out of 60 classes:
- Calculation = 42 ÷ 60 × 100 = 70%
Because 70% is below the common 75% requirement, the tool flags that you are short.
When this helps
- Exam eligibility — check whether you meet the minimum before it is too late.
- Tracking — monitor your attendance through the term.
- Planning — decide how many more classes you need to attend.
A caveat on what counts
Only count classes that were actually held; cancelled or rescheduled sessions are usually excluded from the total, but your institution decides how they are treated. The 75% figure the tool references is a common threshold, not a universal one — confirm the exact requirement in your own regulations. If you are below the mark, the attendance recovery calculator shows how many classes in a row you must attend to catch up, and the marks percentage calculator helps with your exam scores.
